POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Change Management will play a pivotal role in driving organizational change initiatives within the Corporate Engineering function. This position requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage change processes, enhance employee engagement, and ensure successful implementation of projects that align with the organization's objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of change management methodologies and demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills.. This role will be responsible for embedding organizational change management practices related to ongoing transformative change within the Engineering function. This role will serve as a thought leader and strategic partner guiding the Engineering leadership team and the project team on how to implement change through coaching, project planning, and problem-solving. This role will develop strategies, lead, direct, coordinate and draw from a diverse toolkit of expertise in communications, training, strategy, and stakeholder engagement to deliver qualitative and quantitative results. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Employs a structured change management methodology to create conditions for a smooth transition to change and promote and adapts the methodology to the project goals and to increase adoption.  
  2. Creates tailored change management plans (communications, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship, training, reinforcement, etc.) that integrate and align with overall project milestones and partners with the project team to ensure integration and alignment around scope, timeline, resources, and overall project goals.  
  3. Partners with senior leaders to define vision, goals, and measures of success and coaches senior leaders on actions they can take to increase project success.
  4. Ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders and senior leaders. 
  5. Ability to independently design, develop, and deliver training that improves overall project success.
  6. Anticipates risks and proactively develops mitigation steps to address risks. Leads internal efforts to advance change management practices across the organization 
  7. Facilitates workshops to create mechanisms to demotivate old behaviors and incentivize the desired ones, capture information that informs project planning, or aligns stakeholders to needed actions.

 

REQUIREMENTS & MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • ​Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience in Business, Communications, Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP), Prosci, or industry-recognized change management certification is preferred.
  • Master's degree in Business, Communications, Education, Psychology, or related field is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in a Change Management, Organizational Transformation, Strategic Communication or closely related role or equivalent education
  • Strong knowledge of change management methodologies, tools, and techniques. 
  • Experience in the design, development, and delivery of effective communications plans. 

 

SKILLS:

  • Excellent project management skills. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional teams and senior leaders. 
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to drive change initiatives to successful completion.
