POSITION SUMMARY
Accountable for determining root cause and corrective action for issues affecting product in service working with other departments and suppliers as required. Responsible for documenting and releasing instructions to complete retrofits. Also, responsible for the general support of field staff.

As a Service Engineering Specialist at New Flyer, North America's leader in heavy-duty transit buses, you'll play an essential role in enhancing our products and supporting our field staff. This is an incredible opportunity for those with a passion for engineering and a knack for problem-solving. Your main responsibility will involve determining the root causes of product issues that arise in service. You’ll collaborate closely with various departments and suppliers to ensure that every problem is addressed effectively. Think of yourself as a detective for our buses! You will also create clear, easy-to-follow instructions for retrofits, making sure that any modifications are documented properly. Communication is key in this role, as you’ll be the go-to person for answering calls from field staff and internal customers about any technical issues they face. You’ll help prioritize these issues by assigning Risk Priority Numbers to Field Service Action Reports (FSARs) so that the most pressing problems get the attention they deserve. If you have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or an Engineering Technology Diploma, along with some hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems, this could be your next great career move!
