As a Principal Observability Architect at Nielsen IQ, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of observability and ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust observability solutions that provide visibility into our complex systems and drive operational excellence.
Design and develop observability solutions to monitor system performance, reliability, and availability.
Lead the implementation of monitoring, logging, and tracing frameworks across various platforms and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define observability requirements and best practices.
Analyze system performance data to identify and address bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in observability and related fields.
Develop and maintain documentation for observability tools, processes, and procedures.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on observability and system performance.
Expertise in monitoring, logging, and tracing technologies (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, DataDog, Logic Monitor, etc.).
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and services with concentration on Azure Cloud
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficient in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $110,000- $205,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a Sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
