Title: Graphic Design Intern 

Job Location: Remote (Preferably East Coast Time Zone for USA-based candidates; candidates from the UK also considered) 

Reporting to: Program Strategy Writer, Business Development Unit Team 

Rate: $18.00 per hour 

Job Type: Internship - Part time 


Job Description: Operation Smile is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to help bring our newly launched brand to life! As part of this exciting opportunity, you'll play a key role in redesigning materials to ensure they align with our updated brand guidelines and vibrant visual identity. 

Operation Smile is looking for an undergraduate or graduate student with a background in Graphic Design or Communication Design or a part-time internship position in April (one month).  

This is your chance to contribute to the global impact of Operation Smile, ensuring that all materials reflect our fresh new look. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Redesign Fundraising Materials: Update and reformat existing fundraising materials to align with Operation Smile's newly launched brand guidelines, including fonts, color schemes and templates.
  • Ensure Brand Consistency: Ensure that all visual content remains consistent with Operation Smile’s updated brand identity and messaging.
  • Assist in Ad-hoc Projects: Provide support on various design tasks and projects as needed by the Business Development Unit. 

Requirements

Characteristics & Skills Required: 

  • Proficiency PowerPoint and Canva for Presentation Design: Strong experience in creating, editing and formatting presentations, with a keen eye for aligning content with brand guidelines. 
  • Brand Guidelines Implementation: Skilled in applying brand guidelines consistently across various materials, ensuring a cohesive and professional representation of the brand's visual identity. 
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all materials are formatted correctly and align with the updated brand guidelines. 
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and understand design needs. 
  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
