Our National Security Solutions team needs a Sr. Network Engineer to support our expanding portfolio of work in the Intelligence Community (IC). As a collaborative member of a small and mostly autonomous team, this position directly supports secure enclave development networks.
Core Tasks:
Configure and optimize network switches, routers and firewalls.
Configure Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
Manage application layer filtering on NextGen Firewalls.
Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking, vlans, and virtual routing and forwarding (VRFs).
Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
Diagnose network connectivity problems.
Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software.
Monitor network capacity and performance.
Mitigate network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.
Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.
Configure and manage a VMware Cluster to support multiple tenant systems.
Requirements:
Master’s degree AND 10 years’ experience, OR
Bachelor’s degree AND 12 years’ experience, OR
High school diploma and 15 years’ experience as a Network Engineer
Experience with Cisco IOS and PAN-OS
VMware/ESXi
Switch VLAN setup
VMware virtual NIC config for isolation
Understanding of project design within the scope of security (RMF) requirements
Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
Active DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCED, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA; reference cyber.mil for current list of approved certifications)
Cisco certification
Ability to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
