Responsibilities

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I for a PRN variable shift role, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I at Providence Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare. Focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. This position is on a PRN basis,

Employment Type: PRN

Shift Hours: 8 hour shift

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • perform Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech
  • responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
  • interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
  • maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
  • stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
  • operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
  • responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS
  • participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)
  • maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
  • appropriate national certifications
  • current BLS accredited by the AHA
  • familiar with State and Federal regulations
  • graduate of an accredited radiology technology program (accredited by JRCERT preferred)
  • proficient computer skills
  • one year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred
