The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a commercially minded FP&A Business Partner, reporting to the Senior FP&A Partner.

You will drive financial performance through initiative-taking business partnering, leading the budgeting & forecasting process for assigned Functional areas. You will partner with the Executive team by preparing and delivering cross-business insights and developing models & business cases to evaluate new initiatives.

You will possess a blend of strong analytical skills and clear, commercially focused communication to build effective relationships with the business – proposing and supporting initiatives that drive profitability and efficiency. You will coordinate and deliver plans, forecasts, and performance reporting, and work directly with functional leads to provide actionable insights.

This is an exciting and highly visible position – You will work with, and must have the ability to influence, all levels of staff across the business.

Your Impact

You will prepare business performance analysis and identify issues and opportunities.

You will conduct regular reviews of expected performance to plan to influence decisions.

You will provide financial analysis & modelling for business wide initiatives. Identifying opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiency on expense side, as well as ways to maximize return on investment related to business initiatives.

You will build Financial and business capability by providing financial advice, guidance, and positive challenge to colleagues in assigned functional areas ensuring that they have sufficient, accurate and timely information to support their decision-making requirements.

You will promote a culture of cost control & budgetary accountability, constantly reviewing and improving the Functional area financial practices to improve transparency, accuracy, and cost optimisation. Interpretation and communication of financial data to non-financial managers.

You will drive the creation of the annual budget & monthly forecasts for Functional area, gathering relevant data and helping to determine assumption development. Timely and accurate collation, review, and analysis of first draft budget submitted by business areas for review with senior management. Submission of accurate budget reports in the various formats required by senior management and Group finance.

What You Bring

You will be a commercially minded individual with advanced Excel modelling skills. Some years’ experience of business partnering.

The role also requires the post holder to have experience of preparing management reports and decks.

You will be confident and enthusiastic as well as having strong people skills to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial managers.

You will possess the skills/ confidence to offer your opinion in the decisions making process & be able to back your opinion with facts/ results.

This is a hybrid position two days a week onsite.
