Job Summary:

The Regis University Department of Fine and Performing Arts is seeking a creative and flexible individual with strong teaching and performance skills to teach voice beginning fall semester, 2025. Current number of students varies.

Though many of our faculty do identify as Catholic, a significant number of our current faculty body identify with other religious faiths, and many faculty identify as non-religious. Regis College is a small, teaching focused, liberal arts college housed within Regis University. We are located in North Denver just minutes from downtown. Our undergraduate student population has roughly 1500 students and class sizes range from 15-25 students

APPLICATION MATERIALS 1) letter of intent (including explanation of your interest in teaching at a small, Jesuit, liberal arts college, and how your background and experience fulfills above responsibilities and qualifications); 2) vita.; 3) three current references with phone and email contact information; 4) examples of your voice performance (links to digital files on YouTube or Spotify, for example)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach a wide range of applied voice students.

  • The Music Program at Regis offers applied music lessons to all full-time Regis College students, faculty, and staff.

  • Students will have varying levels of proficiency from beginning to advanced students. Participate in recruitment of music students, performance classes, and student recital preparation in support of the music major and minor; participate in music faculty meetings once or twice per semester.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed Master of Music with appropriate performance specialty (or equivalent) required at time of appointment.

  • teaching experience of at least one year

Preferred Qualifications

  • College-level teaching experience.

Work Schedule:  TBD based on mutual availability of voice students and instructor; 12 weekly lessons must be taught within a semester for each student

Benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Pay Rate:

$250/credit hour per student per semester for candidates with a master’s degree; $281/credit hour per student per semester for candidates with a doctoral degree; students enroll in either 1- (half hour) or 2- (hour) credit lessons
