Job Description:

We are immediately hiring a first shift Driver Manager in Kansas City, MO for our Supply Chain Solutions division. Apply here today to speak with a Recruiter about the position and perks of joining our Ryder Ever Better Team.

  • Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
  • Annual Salary Pay: $72,000 per year based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Additional hours and days as needed to support business needs.

Summary
The Driver Manager internally titled, Manager Customer Logistics will oversee the day-to-day operations within an assigned function, and is responsible for all aspects of Operations and Account Management . Mainly responsible for the leadership of direct reports as well as the attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area.

  • Managing dedicated drivers
  • Communication with both internal and external customers
  • Coordinating workarounds when concerns or requests for change in route or delivery timeline is requested
  • Manage hours of service
  • Manage fleet maintenance
  • Manage DOT / OSHA Compliance
  • Manage payroll, vacation, time off requests
  • Interview, hire, train, & mentor drivers
  • Work with distribution management team to coordinate seamless transition of goods in and out of cross dock facility
  • Manage 30 drivers

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred

  • Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required

  • One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. advanced required

  • Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. advanced required
