About The Role


As a Policy and Market Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in understanding how changing laws and regulations and developments impact the solar industry. This internship is designed to provide exposure to how policy changes at the state and federal level impact renewable energy projects. 


You will work closely with the State and Federal Policy Managers as well as the Policy and Market Analysts to support the monitoring of core and developing state markets to advance the company’s growth in existing and new markets. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who is passionate about renewable energy and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. 


Responsibilities
  • Assist with monitoring and analyzing laws/regulations and legislative and regulatory developments affecting the solar industry and our company/projects at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Collaborate with team members on understanding market dynamics and economics to determine viability of different markets and solar programs.
  • Support in drafting memorandums and materials to share with company executives and occasional external parties.
  • Conduct research on changing legislative, policy, and regulatory developments.
  • Perform administrative duties to help ensure smooth team operations.


Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Policy, Political Science, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field with an expected graduation date between 2025 and 2027.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and excited to contribute.
