POSITION SUMMARY
The Graphic Design Coordinator produces quality print materials and graphic design to promote the vision, mission, and ministries of Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC). In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Create high quality church-wide graphics and visuals for digital, web, print, and social media.
2. Brand design for events and marketing, including posters, slides, banners, brochures, flyers, etc. for all ministry requests.
3. Work with staff and Pastoral team to take design visions and turn them into finished products.
4. Produce materials that meet the timelines and objectives stated for the project and are consistent with the standards of excellence established within the Communications Team.
5. Work with the Central Production team to create and provide media design as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years of full-time graphic design and project management experience
Proficiency with Mac OS X and Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision.
Ability to drive projects and strategies through to completion.
Strong attention to details and deadlines
High level of creative thinking, innovation, and execution
Teamwork orientation with ability to translate ideas and concepts into creative visuals for printed digital and online in multiple formats.
Stay current on the graphic standards for print/digital and latest trends in graphic design.
Demonstrate spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership.
Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of full-time related experience in a multi-site church setting of over 2000 members/attendees
Two years of photography, video, and/or website experience
