Communications Assistant

The Institute for International Programs is looking for a Communications Assistant to assist with the Countdown to 2030 project. This position will support the communications and knowledge management activities of Countdown to 2030.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating website content.
  • Performing project management activities.
  • Writing and managing the list for the email newsletter.
  • Creating social media content.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and software for content creation and management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building / networking skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
  • Two years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition, Public Health, Communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
