Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor (Part-Time)

Are you a strong swimmer? Do you have a passion for aquatics and fitness? If so, please consider joining the YMCA of Central MA's Greendale Family Branch's amazing Aquatics Department!


Under the supervision of the Group Exercise Coordinator, the Aquatics Group exercise Instructor will ensure that members have a safe and enjoyable experience while using the equipment and facilities in both the Woodbury and Alden pools


Job Duties:

  • Gain experience in the fitness industry & develop safe Aquatic Group Exercise Instruction.
  • Interact with a diverse groups of people and build positive relationships with YMCA members.
  • Monitor, organize and put away needed class equipment. Report any damaged equipment to supervisor.
  • Maintain records as required and supports studio closet/equipment area organization and inventory.
  • Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be CPR, First Aid and AED certified or willing to be certified upon successful hire
  • Must have at least one year experience instructing Aquatics Group Exercise classes and maintain proper certifications
  • Customer Service and Problem-Solving skills

Schedule: Weekday mid-morning and evenings. Please tell us your availability!


Job Type: Part-Time


Pay: $18.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
