Endoscopy RN:

Position Highlights:

What you will do:

  • You will need to utilize your assessment skills and knowledge base to prep patients for procedures.
  • You will be responsible for planning the patient care needed post op, including, spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs.

In the procedure room:

  • Learn/Continue: To assist with basic Endoscopy procedures such as Colonoscopy and EGD’s.
  • Learn/Continue: To assist with more advanced therapeutic procedures that prevent patients from having surgery for mass removal and swallowing disorders, and other interventions that treat/diagnose common GI ailments such as reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, and removal of Colon Polyps.
  • Learn/Continue: To assist and administer moderate sedation.

What you will need:

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
  • Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care
  • The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written
  • MINIMUM of 1 year of RN Acute Surgical/Endo experience required
  • BLS Required. ACLS required (Can be provided during orientation)
  • Telemetry Training (Can be acquired during orientation)
  • On call availability 1 weekday night every other week. 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks (based on coverage)

Pay Range: $35- $49.95

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
