Required Education and/or Experience:
Associate's Degree or related experience in technical writing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and schedule social media posts across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to promote college programs, faculty research, student achievements, and upcoming events;
Write, edit, and design newsletters to inform students, faculty, alumni, and the broader community about college news and opportunities;
Monitor engagement metrics and suggest improvements to increase reach and engagement;
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to gather content and stories;
Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style across all digital communication channels that aligns with the UA Little Rock communications office;
Stay updated on trends in social media and higher education marketing to enhance content strategy;
Assist with other digital and print communication projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills;
Basic knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) is preferred;
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks;
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
Passion for STEM education and storytelling.
