The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is the flagship academic medical center at the heart of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and includes the 789-bed downtown Baltimore campus and the 177-bed midtown campus one mile north. Home to the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center and The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, we’re the highest-volume trauma center in the United States.

We are looking for talented Registered Nurses to join our nursing team here at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required;
  • BSN preferred;
  • 2-5 years of nursing experience in perioperative services (preferred)
  • Experience in L&D, Critical Care, PACU, Same-Day surgery encouraged to apply
  • Current CPR certification required, BLS required
  • Preferred AORN member
  • CNOR preferred; but not required
  • Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.
  • Member of a professional organization.
  • Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.
