The Enterprise Architecture Associate role is a critical skill crucial for developing our internal technical expertise across the organization. This position enables seamless cross-boarder integration of systems, supports global compliance, and helps maintain standardization of our principles and practices important to align our corporate strategies.
The role primarily focuses on three key areas:
1) Documentation and maintenance of enterprise architecture assets, including diagrams, models, standards, and repositories
2) Support for analysis and integration activities, including research on new technologies, system interfaces, and business requirements
3) Administrative assistance with architecture governance, including meeting coordination, progress reporting, and monitoring compliance with standards.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of enterprise architecture within the utility sector. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced architects and gain valuable insights into large-scale IT systems and strategic technology planning.
Professional background: 2-4 years of experience in IT, preferably with some exposure to enterprise architecture concepts.
Skills: Basic understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman) and methodologies. Familiarity with IT systems, cloud computing, data management, and integration technologies. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent documentation and technical writing skills. Proficiency in using diagraming tools (e.g. LUCID, Draw.io) and office productivity software (preferably Google Workspace) Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic understanding of the utility industry and technological landscapes is a plus. Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of enterprise architecture. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is beneficial. Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF Foundation) or willingness to pursue them is desirable.
