Full Stack Java Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Looking for top tier engineers who have a strong and successful track record of solving hard problems and out-of-the-box thinking. We work in a dynamic environment and expect new joiners to be flexible, self-sufficient and learn our business, our data and our technology stack with minimal supervision, they will lead the push for horizontally scalable high-performance applications.
We place heavy emphasis on an individual's ability to learn, adapt and work with minimal direct supervision.
Hired resource will be working on hybrid stack Scala/ Java/ Python based applications along with mix of other technologies like JavaScript, react JS, angular database (graph/ RDF and relational DBS), SPARQL, AMPS, Kafka, IBM MQ etc. Relevant hands-on programming experience in these technologies will be a plus.
The technology skills we require are not that common, so actual hands-on experience with something like RTF or Scala is less important than demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and stronghold on data structures its application in real world environment (financial industry experience would be a plus).
Strong hands-on software development experience in Scala and or Java is a requirement and also have experience in building distributed, scalable applications with heavy data processing in real time or batch using multithreading and parallel processing architecture.
Test driven methodologies, working in automation of unit and regression tests, CI/ CD is a plus.
Must be capable of basic data analysis and requirements gathering. Hired resource should come prepared to learn not just the technology but additionally our data and business processes.

• Experience in working with agile development environment
• Java or similar programming, Scala is a plus
• Strong problem solving and communication skills and enjoys a collaborative environment
• Flexible, self-starter, fast learner- willing and able to quickly learn new technologies and skills
• Experience with functional programming like Scala is a plus
• Experience with graph technologies is a plus. Familiarity with semantic web (RDF) and SPARQL is a plus
• Experience with distributed computing is a plus familiarity with amps, Kafka, zookeeper/ storm/ spark/HDFS is a plus
• Experience with large data processing and distribution in real time using amps, Kafka, map reduce or similar framework is a plus
• Experience with selenium, cucumber
• Experience with enhancing and maintaining mission critical software in a fast-paced environment is a plus

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering work experience. Java or similar programming

  • Minimum of 5 years JAVA with Multithreading, Kafka/AMPS messaging (or similar messaging tools)

  • Good Knowledge on Database (Relational or Graph Database)

  • HS Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills and enjoys a collaborative environment

  • Flexible, self-starter, fast learner- willing and able to quickly learn new technologies and skills

  • Experience with functional programming like Scala is a plus

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
