AECOM is seeking a highly motivated geotechnical engineer to support mine tailings, geotechnical, and heavy civil infrastructure projects as part of the mining group to telecommute for our Denver, CO. office.
Job Summary/ Responsibilities:
Performs specific portions of broader projects under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Planning, implementing, and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs (30% travel/field time)
Developing geotechnical laboratory testing assignments
Performing geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses
Preparing calculation packages
Assisting with the development of geotechnical reports, drawings and specifications
Preparing and presenting technical presentations of evaluation results to internal team
Review of geotechnical instrumentation and preparation of instrumentation monitoring reports
