CGI Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a fast-paced environment supporting one of our largest customers. Our team takes an innovative approach to supporting clients, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience with full life cycle application/system development, distributed application environments (database, transaction management), and large-scale enterprise applications following an Agile execution model.
We are looking for a professional with expertise in Salesforce development, to include Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce DX.
In addition to technical skills, excellent communication and written skills are required.
This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Design, develop, and deploy custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components. Create and customize Salesforce objects, fields, and page layouts.
Integrate Salesforce with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools. Ensure seamless data flow between Salesforce and external systems.
Design and implement data models, ensuring data integrity and security. Perform data migrations, data imports, and data exports as needed.
Implement security best practices to protect data and applications. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Manage user roles, profiles, and permissions.
Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests to ensure application quality. Use tools like Salesforce DX for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, configurations, and processes. Create and update technical documentation for reference and knowledge sharing.
Work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Proven experience in developing and customizing Salesforce applications.
Experience with Salesforce development tools such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce DX.
Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.
Familiarity with Salesforce declarative development features like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and data model.
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Certifications:
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II.
Additional Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer are a plus.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,700.00 - $169,700.00.
