The Product Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the Filtration Product Engineering Sustainment team in the technical aspects of Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM), focusing on the Virus portfolio to ensure quality and product performance, while working cross-functionally to deliver on our customers’ expectations .

Additionally, the role will be responsible for providing support to Mould Tool and Material Change verification builds, when required.

This position reports to the Senior Product Engineer and is part of the Sustainment Team within Product Engineering located in Ilfracombe, UK and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

Task management: facilitate engineering trials and verification builds by creating batch paperwork, organizing materials and line time, working closely with multiple functions to meet plan attainment
Provide written and verbal summaries of engineering trials and verification builds to peers and functional leadership
Solve problems in straightforward situations; analyses possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents

Who you are:

A recognized Engineering qualification is desired but not essential
Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

Ability to travel (occasional, not mandatory)
Desirable to have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Process validation procedures and problem-solving techniques (e.g. Process FMEA, Ishikawa diagrams, Pareto Analysis, and process capability studies)
DBS fundamentals tool kit and experience of using these tools in day-to-day activities
Local manufacturing knowledge covering multiple manufacturing process steps
