Product Manager

At Doist, our mission is to empower people with simple yet powerful tools.

We're a multidisciplinary, fully-remote, team that’s passionate about creating products, like Todoist and Twist, that improve people’s lives. We thrive on innovating new solutions to old productivity challenges and we seek to rethink how productivity tools are made.

Our Core Values

They are few, but they are mighty. From creating processes to decision-making and recruiting, we build our four core values into nearly every single thing we do.

  • Ambition. You aspire to put a dent in the universe. You set high standards for yourself and those around you. You solve issues that have a high impact on our customers and our company.
  • Mastery. You care deeply about the quality of your work. You’re continuously learning and pushing yourself to the limits of your ability. As a champion of your craft, you are also a champion of your well-being – you work intensely, then disconnect completely.
  • Independence. Others can trust that you’ll deliver on time. You keep your word and trust your teammates to do the same. You are proactive, take ownership, and remain accountable with little or no direction.
  • Communication. Your communication is clear, concise, and engaging. You keep others in the loop and never go radio silent. You speak respectfully and foster warm relationships through your interactions. You’re culturally and socially aware and can appropriately navigate social situations.

We invite you to visit our blog to learn more about us, our values, and how we work.

Your Team & Role

Three years ago, we transitioned from a product committee model to a dedicated product team, enabling us to evolve how we think, work, and grow. Today, our product team consists of a Head of Product and two Product Managers, and we’re ready to expand by adding a third Product Manager.

Product development at Doist is a collaborative effort, guided by a pragmatic, PM-driven culture. As part of our team, you’ll not only shape tools that customers love and that drive our business forward, but you’ll also play a key role in evolving how we build products as we scale.

Our vision is to take Doist to the next level: from millions to tens of millions of active users, 100,000+ thriving teams, and hundreds of billions of managed tasks and objects, all while remaining fully independent and competing against companies 1,000x our size.

If you’re driven to create unique playbooks, thrive in a high-performance environment with world-class teammates, and want to leave your mark, this is your opportunity to shape products that transform how people work and live.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Shape the short- to mid-term product roadmap aligned with company goals
  • Balance thoughtful execution with bold, customer-centric decisions
  • Lead and support cross-functional squads to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers and the business
  • Research customer needs, market dynamics, and industry trends to identify opportunities
  • Facilitate the creation of impactful solutions using insights, intuition, and team expertise
  • Prioritize high-value work, coordinate activities, and communicate goals clearly
  • Inform product decisions through customer stories and product metrics
  • Collaborate across team boundaries to ensure a seamless end-to-end user experience
  • Report to the Head of Product and contribute to building a high-performing product team

Is everything perfect? Not yet. We’re improving customer feedback loops, increasing decision-making speed, and finetuning the balance of qualitative and quantitative insights. In short, we’re constantly evolving what “product at Doist” means.

If you’re excited to build and scale great products, refine how we work, and collaborate with world-class teammates, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we’ll simplify life’s complexities for millions of people worldwide.

About You

As a Product Manager at Doist, you are a leader who takes ownership of the ideation, creation, and growth of impactful products. Your day-to-day will typically involve collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and marketers to identify customer problems and deliver delightful solutions. You will also partner with finance, support, and other teams to ensure a great end-to-end user experience for individuals and teams.

Together with your product management team, you will shape the roadmap based on company goals, qualitative and quantitative customer insights, technical capabilities, market trends, and a healthy dose of intuition.

To excel in this role, you are someone who

  • Comfortably inspires and aligns cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment in navigating trade-offs and ambiguity
  • Combines creativity and pragmatism to solve problems and deliver meaningful results
  • Turns customer empathy and insights into impactful product decisions
  • Communicates ideas clearly and builds buy-in through concise writing, tailored for a remote, async-first environment
  • Appreciates core product just as much as product growth initiatives, and seamlessly switches between the two
  • Continuously refines your craft, embraces new challenges, and raises the bar for product excellence
  • Brings confidence, positivity and a healthy sense of humor to your work
  • Has 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager working on tech-enabled products

Nice-to-haves that will help you hit the ground running:

  • Experience with SaaS, B2B, or product-led growth strategies
  • Experience working in remote and async-first teams
  • Skills in facilitating ideation workshops and leveraging team creativity
