We value diversity and voices of all volumes.The Traveler Voice & Content team develops AI models for all domains and modalities such as text and image. It primarily consists of a Machine Learning Scientists with diverse educational and cultural background. This role focuses on annotation (aka labeling) data used for developing AI models. The type of data could be text or image. Attention to detail, being precise and consistent, strong analytical skills, familiarity with AI models in text or image domain are important.Responsibilities of the Data Annotation Specialist:• Focuses on annotation (aka labeling) data used for developing AI models• Analyze raw data in the form of text or image and label based on a set of guidelines is the primary function of this role• Document and maintain guidelines and logic for labeling/annotation• Communicate with other team members including engineers on how the labeling is done and resolve disagreements on labeling logic• Work with large amounts of data in text and image formQualifications of the Data Annotation Specialist:• A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience required• Background in linguistics or image processing is a plus• Labeling station experience• Familiarity with AI models in text or image domain are required• Familiarity with unstructured (raw) data• English speaking is required (bilingual preferred)• Strong analytical skills• Strong attention to detail and the ability to be precise and consistentPlease note contractors are engaged to provide services to Expedia Group on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
