Expeditors exchanges over 35 million Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages each month with our customers, service providers, and government agencies. EDI provides tremendous business value. The Connected Customer Developer creates and maintains EDI based business translations that exchange electronic messages with internal and external systems. You will be part of a team that is responsible for analyzing, testing, installing, and supporting this business critical information.
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Expected base salary: $80,000 to $120,000

As an Associate Developer (EDI) in our Seattle offices, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic team exchanging over 35 million Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages each month with our clients and partners. In this role, you'll create and maintain EDI-based business translations—working closely with both internal and external systems. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, testing, installing, and supporting critical data communications across our organization. We're looking for someone with a customer service-oriented attitude and the ability to design creative solutions tailored to our clients' needs. If you have solid programming knowledge—ideally in a language like C++, Java, PHP, or Python—we want to hear from you! Our ideal candidate will also have a basic understanding of database structures and a year of professional programming experience. Knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI, EDIFACT, and RosettaNet would be a definite plus. While this position is based in the greater Seattle area, candidates must be local or willing to relocate, as we do not offer relocation assistance.
