Manager, Event Marketing

Job Description:

The Manager of Event Marketing will play a key role in executing high-impact events that engage and support clients within the Healthcare, Higher Education, Public Sector, Taft Hartley and Faith Based spaces. Reporting to the Event Marketing Director with the Tax-Exempt Market (TEM), this individual will be responsible for managing logistics, planning, and execution of events – ensuring a seamless experience that aligns with strategic business objectives.

This role requires exceptional project management skills, strong execution capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring events are well coordinated, impactful, and delivered at the highest standard in partnership with Meetings and Events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategy, planning, and execution of key events within the nonprofit sector, including conferences, client forums and virtual experiences.
  • Manage event logistics in partnership with Meeting and Events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, contracts, budgets, and onsite execution.
  • Partner with Relationship Management, Consultants, Marketing, Meeting and Events to ensure events align with business objectives and drive engagement.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, checklists, and budgets, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
  • Oversee the creation of event materials, including signage, presentations, thought leadership content, and branded assets.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to enhance event effectiveness and attendee experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5+ years of event marketing, event management, or related experience, preferably in healthcare, higher education, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional project management and execution skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring flawless event planning and execution.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor negotiations.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site event execution as needed.

The Marketing Manager is part of the Analytics, Marketing & Communications team within Fidelity’s Tax-Exempt Market business unit where we serve nonprofit employers and their employees. These organizations are passionate and strive to provide their employees, who frequently serve others, with benefits programs that support their evolving needs. The Marketing team develops strategic programs that enhances engagement and mission awareness.
