Your Role

As the VP of Product and Content at Happier, your mission is to drive the strategy, development, and delivery of products that align with our vision and effectively engage and inspire our users. Happier is a “content-driven” experience and you will oversee the Product, Content Production, and Curriculum teams, ensuring seamless integration and innovation across these critical areas to enhance our user experience. You will also collaborate with other departments to ensure the entire organization is aligned behind the Product Strategy. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration, user-centered design, and data-driven decision-making, advancing our goal of helping individuals cultivate happiness through effective and meaningful practices.

What You Will Do:

Product Strategy and Development

  • Lead the product team and develop the overall product strategy, vision, and roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams and in alignment with Happier’s mission and goals.

  • Oversee end-to-end product management, from concept to launch, optimizing for user engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and marketing teams to deliver innovative and engaging product features that resonate with users and help drive the business.

  • Implement feedback loops and data-driven methodologies to refine and enhance product offerings continuously.

  • Work with CEO on Vision

Content Production Leadership

  • Lead the Video & Audio Content Production team to ensure high-quality, innovative, and engaging content is consistently delivered efficiently. 

  • Ensure all teams are collaborating to align content ongoing offerings with product goals and user needs.

  • Leverage user research and analytics to shape content strategy, maximizing impact on user engagement and outcomes.

Curriculum Development and Integration

  • Oversee the development and delivery of meditation and happiness-based curriculum, ensuring alignment with the Happier mission.

  • Ensure our educational experts, teachers, and the content team are creating effective programs that drive measurable outcomes for users.

  • Ensure curriculum is relevant, effective, and inspiring to diverse audiences, driving user engagement, retention and satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with leaders across Happier to drive alignment on strategic initiatives, product launches, and content planning.

  • Champion user-centric methodologies, ensuring that the voice of the customer is present in all product and content decisions.

  • Facilitate effective communication across teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of product managers, product designers, content producers, and curriculum developers, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Build and nurture a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team environment that embodies Happier’s values.

  • Set and track performance metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement across product, content, and curriculum.

  • Strategic Vision and Execution: A proven ability to develop and execute a compelling product strategy that drives engagement and impact. 

  • User-Centric Product Development: Experience in building and delivering content driven, consumer-facing products with a strong focus on outcomes, engagement, and data-driven iteration.

  • Content and Curriculum Expertise: Familiarity with content production and curriculum development, ideally in educational, mindfulness, or well-being spaces.

  • Leadership and Team Development: Experience leading, mentoring, and growing cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.

  • Communication Excellence: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive compensation package with equity. The comp band for this role is $xxx, depending on experience and skill level. You’ll also be eligible for our full benefits package, including health and dental insurance, as well as a stipend for professional growth and development.
