About the Role:

JDSAT is seeking a Mid-Level Data Analyst to help develop innovative data solutions, apply NLP techniques, and support high-impact projects across healthcare, government, and military domains. This position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and client-facing experience.

This position requires a SECRET clearance or demonstrated ability to obtain such clearance. This position is hybrid, requiring on-site work in Fairfax, VA as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and process structured and unstructured data, including medical records and military supply data. 
  • Develop Python scripts and SQL queries to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets. 
  • Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to match and process text-based datasets. 
  • Work with clients, managers, and technical teams to understand business needs and define data-driven solutions. 
  • Support proof of concept (POC) development for new technologies and automation solutions. 
  • Create data visualizations, dashboards, and reports (Tableau experience preferred). 
  • Assist in minor front-end development tasks using React.js, Flask, HTML, and CSS (Nice-to-Have). 
  • Provide technical and non-technical communication support, including client demos and presentations. 


Required Skills & Abilities:
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation. 
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, extracting, and transforming data. 
  • Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing) for handling unstructured text data. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. 
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments while handling multiple client needs. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 


Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools for data visualization. 
  • Exposure to React.js, JavaScript, Flask, and HTML/CSS for minor front-end work. 
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts, even at a basic level (~20% of role). 
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts and data interoperability. 
  • Previous experience with government, military, or healthcare analytics.
