DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at Haud, you will leverage modern DevOps tools and practices to enhance the performance, deployment processes, and reliability of our solutions. This role offers the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle—from design through to client deployment. You will be responsible for delivering, upgrading, and maintaining Haud products, as well as overseeing and optimizing all CI/CD pipelines. In addition, you will manage and maintain our Kubernetes platform and the development tooling, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability of our services. Working as part of an international team of architects, developers, and QA engineers, you will play a key role in delivering new features and improvements that drive Haud’s products forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD or Flux for managing Kubernetes workloads.
- Own and maintain core DevOps tools, including GitLab, Nexus, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Ansible.
- Enhance observability by integrating and maintaining monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry and Zabbix).
- Assess opportunities and technologies for application and process improvements and prepare the necessary documentation and prototypes to share and show the potential of such improvements to the team members and other affected parties.
- Assist in performing RCAs and suggest improvements for live incidents.
- Support with the new clients’ installations and maintenance of the various highly available setups installed as part of the solutions provide by Haud
- Make sure that the installations and software follow the industry and company security standards. Conduct security risk and vulnerability assessments on developed or installed solutions.
- Analyse, diagnose, and solve performance issues on various software such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Linux, Docker, Puppet, Ansible, Databases etc.
- Helps to ensure and build that the required documentation is in place and of excellent quality, making sure that other team members keep it updated
- Masters or Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, Management or equivalent
- 2+ years experience working as DevOps engineer with strong knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, AWX, Puppet, GIT, Nexus etc
- Knowledge of SQL and relational Databases
- Experience working in a Java environment
- Working knowledge of:
- Linux administration (such as Ubuntu),
- Docker or any other containerisation technology
- Kubernetes ecosystem (Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, MINIO, velero, networking, Istio, etc)
- a scripting language (such as PHP, Python)
- NMS, alerting and Dashboarding tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, alert manager
