What will you do in this role? 

As a Senior Revenue Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition practices, with a strong link to the billing process. 

Daily tasks will include reviewing customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment, configuring our ERP system to align with billing schedules, preparing revenue-related journal entries in accordance with applicable accounting principles, conducting reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

During monthly closings you will own the revenue portion, which includes assessing the revenue streams, identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential risks, as well as reconciling and verifying revenue-related accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. You will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure alignment and gather necessary information and data. Along the way you will propose and implement opportunities for process improvement in our processes. Additionally, you will respond to audit inquiries and prepare revenue-related financial statements and reports. Throughout, you maintain detailed documentation of revenue recognition processes and decisions.

What will you need to be successful in this role?

• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting. 
• You are familiar with NetSuite and have a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and standards (in particular IFRS 15).
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• You are flexible and have an agile mindset to clearly communicate with different stakeholders effectively.
• You enjoy being challenged and challenging others and see that as an opportunity to improve.
• You can champion ICEYE values and culture.

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills: 

• Experience in working with Salesforce
• Be able to see the bigger picture, and see the long term benefits of the work that is being conducted
