As a Pharmacy Tech Trainee at Intermountain Health, you'll be stepping into a rewarding role that allows you to work closely with pharmacists while embarking on a journey towards becoming a licensed pharmacy technician. In this position, you'll assist in the safe and effective execution of pharmaceutical care, which includes preparing medication orders, processing prescriptions, and managing necessary paperwork. You'll get hands-on experience under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, with paid on-the-job training while pursuing your licensure. Part of the fun is engaging with the pharmacy team and supporting patients along the way! Your days will be filled with learning opportunities as you complete your coursework—though the theoretical side happens outside of working hours. While you're at it, you’ll need to stay flexible with your schedule, as shifts may require you to work nights, weekends, and holidays. This role is perfect if you are someone who enjoys accurate communication, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to dive into the world of pharmaceuticals. And remember, it’s also about delivering care professionally and with care, ensuring patients receive their medications safely and promptly. If you meet the qualifications—like being at least 17 years old and enrolled in a pharmacy technician training program—we can't wait to see you flourish in this role!
