Senior Events Manager

Join Our Mission: Help the Helpers with Jane

Let’s kick things off with a quick intro. Jane is a team that’s all about fostering growth, spreading delight, and serving our healthcare community. We’re looking for people who are ready to jump in and join us as we simplify the lives of healthcare practitioners and patients every day.

At Jane, success means collaborating with your team, delivering an aligned result with efficiency and quality, communicating clearly and openly, and embracing continuous improvement. And guess what? Jane is a remote-first company, so every role, including this one, gives you the freedom to work from anywhere in Canada.

Your Role in Our Journey:

As Senior Events Manager at Jane, you’ll work closely with the Director, Community and the Events Manager to design and execute an events strategy that strengthens Jane’s presence in the EMR and clinic management space. Leading a dynamic team of four, you’ll create experiences that feel human, helpful, and delightful—helping us connect with our customers and the broader health and wellness community in meaningful ways.

This role is all about bringing Jane’s brand to life and fostering delightful connections. You’ll lead our presence at industry events like conferences and trade shows, as well as customer and field marketing events—both Jane-hosted and community-led, and a future in-person customer conference. You’ll also oversee Jane’s swag program, ensuring our brand stays top of mind in thoughtful and creative ways. Your work will drive brand awareness, foster customer loyalty, and create new opportunities for growth and connection.

Beyond external events, you’ll help bring our internal Jane team community together by overseeing company-wide gatherings like our annual retreat and larger departmental offsites—making sure every touchpoint reflects who we are.

** Please note that this role does require the ability to travel within Canada and the U.S. to attend and support conferences and events. This will equate to approximately 10-15% of your time annually. **

The impact you could have
  • Team Leadership: Support, mentor, and lead a high-performing events team, ensuring smooth execution across all our event portfolios—conferences and tradeshows, internal events, swag, and customer events, while also fostering collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and resource management.
  • Events Strategy: Work closely with the Director, Community and Events Manager to build a scalable events strategy that aligns with Jane’s business goals. • Event Presence: Help Jane show up in all the right places! Identify and prioritize conferences and trade shows that will have the biggest impact—not always the biggest events, but the ones that truly align with our goals. Maximize our investment through thoughtful booth design, memorable experiences (think swag, field marketing, and opportunities for connection), strategic sponsorships, and smart lead-generation tactics.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the organization—the wider marketing department, senior leadership, and beyond—to align on business goals and turn them into impactful event strategies. Lead the creation and execution of event concepts, programming, and production that not only exceed expectations but also deepen community relationships and fuel growth.
  • Success Measurement: Work with senior leadership to set clear event goals and track what matters for all types of events. Use data to measure success and continuously refine our event strategy. Analyze event performance, attendee feedback, and market trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Event Execution: Work with the Events team to plan and execute Jane’s presence at in-person industry events—whether it’s a few hundred or 10,000+ attendees—along with customer events, from community-led meetups to a Jane-hosted customer conference. You’ll also support your team in planning and executing internal events. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define event strategy, success metrics, and key requirements, ensuring each event aligns with our business goals and delivers meaningful value.
  • Budget Management: Keep our event budgets on track! Own forecasting, financial compliance, and cost efficiency to make sure we’re investing wisely while keeping Jane’s events impactful and sustainable.

The experience we feel we need
  • Leadership & Collaboration: You bring 8-10 years of experience in corporate and strategic event marketing, including 4+ years leading teams. You thrive on building strong, cross-functional relationships and bring a positive, “let’s-make-it-happen” attitude to every project.
  • High-Impact Event Execution: You have a proven track record of planning and executing large-scale events, including both brand-hosted experiences (customer events, customer conferences) and presence at industry conferences and trade shows. From strategy to execution, you thoughtfully manage every detail to create memorable experiences that drive brand awareness, engagement, and business growth.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: You know how to turn numbers into insights. You’re comfortable using data and analytics to measure event performance, assess impact, and continuously refine strategies.
  • Technical Know-How: You’ve got hands-on experience with event management software, marketing tools (including CRM like HubSpot), and analytics platforms—helping you keep events running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Communication: You’re a clear and confident communicator—whether you’re presenting to senior leadership, aligning cross-functional teams, or engaging external partners. You make complex information easy to understand and ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Creative & Agile Problem-Solving: You’re a resourceful and adaptable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Whether it’s optimizing processes, streamlining workflows, or collaborating with your team, you find smart solutions to keep projects moving forward.
