No matter the need, we keep our customers supplied and running. We are currently seeking a Vendor Performance Analyst to join our growing team.


The Vendor Performance Analyst plays a vital role in optimizing the company’s product lifecycle, pricing accuracy, and vendor relationships across all facets of our operations. In this role, you will not only focus on vendor data management, pricing analysis, and strategic business development but also assist with initiatives around product training, fitment data, metadata quality, and both legacy and new brand/product strategies. You will ensure that every element—from training and fitment to data quality and strategic pricing—aligns with business objectives and supports continuous improvement across our systems.


Primary Objectives

  • Collect, organize, and analyze product and pricing data from various sources including sales, customer feedback, and market trends
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product fulfillment and drive sales
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform decision-making and drive business growth

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data Management, Analysis & Metadata Quality
  • Vendor & Product Data: Maintain accurate, complete, and consistent vendor and product data across all systems.
  • Metadata Enhancement: Perform gap analyses to ensure metadata meets operational standards.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Create reports on pricing, product performance, and metadata discrepancies to offer clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Strategic Fitment & Product Relationship

  • Fitment – Feature & Equipment: Review product features, equipment creation, parts inventory, and data quality to ensure products meet standards.
  • Product Relationship: Develop and manage product relationships with high-quality data capture, focusing on how features align across the portfolio.
  • Pricing & Vendor Strategy
  • Proactive Vendor Price Planning: Work with vendors and the Director of Operations to develop forward-looking pricing plans that capitalize on market trends.
  • Price Update Backlog/Analysis/Communication: Manage and communicate the backlog of price updates for new, obsolete, or current pricing.
  • File Preparation & Upload: Prepare and update accurate price files for corporate accounts for smooth uploads.
  • Pricing Strategy: Create and implement pricing strategies using data-driven insights to optimize profitability.

Product/Category/Brand Performance & Strategic Initiatives

  • Performance Reporting: Monitor KPIs and brand metrics; report and analyze results to spot improvement areas.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product, category, and brand strategies that align with market opportunities and business goals.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify training and awareness gaps, and work with the team to develop strategies to address them.

New Brands/Products/Categories Initiatives

  • Gap/Opportunity Analysis: Research the market to spot gaps and opportunities in current product offerings.
  • Content Creation: Oversee both internal functional and customer-facing content creation to enhance product presentations.
  • System/Data Prep & Uploads: Support the preparation and upload of new product data.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage vendor relationships during the onboarding of new brands, products, or categories.

Partnership, Platform, and Aftermarket Focus

  • Brand Partnership Opportunities: Identify and support partnership agreements that drive brand growth and expand market reach.
  • Aftermarket Product Initiatives: Verify replacement products, ensure inventory and labeling accuracy, facilitate white label agreements, and maintain strong vendor relations.
  • Existing Brands: Analyze existing brands for opportunities and manage vendor relationships to support ongoing partnerships.

Operational & Stakeholder Support

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work cross-departmentally to align product strategies with business objectives.
  • Communication & Coordination: Respond quickly to vendor and client inquiries, manage internal processes, and schedule meetings for smooth operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements, drive operational enhancements, and promote data-driven decision-making.


Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical role with demonstrated high performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and spreadsheet software (Excel/Sheets).
  • Experience within a MRO-type sales organization.
  • A robust analytical mindset, coupled with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A keen attention to detail with a structured approach to organizational tasks.
  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and digital training delivery systems.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven track record of meeting performance goals and driving strategic business improvements.
