DevSecOps Lead (Cleared)

IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) seeks an experienced Sr. DevSecOps Lead to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity. ITC will provide the Government with program management and services related to emerging technology solutions, including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and data science, application development and management support, training, and enterprise ecosystem support.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the integration of DevSecOps practices into all new developments and SIE Cloud efforts.
  • Maintains relevancy with commercial and open-source DevSecOps solutions to enable the program to keep pace with industry offerings and trends.
  • Designs and implements the processes and tools to deliver an automated, CI/CD pipeline-based DevSecOps system capable of supporting VMs, containers, and compiled software applications.
  • Sustains the CI/CD pipeline for maintenance applications.
  • Works across the enterprise to ensure that the DevSecOps tools and processes support the holistic system development, integration, and fielding effort.
  • Ensure that all software development and operational processes meet DoD-specific security standards, such as RMF, CMMC, and NIST, while implementing automated compliance checks.
  • Guide the team in maintaining and improving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations, automating the provisioning and configuring secure and scalable cloud or on-prem environments.
  • Continuously monitor security metrics, audit logs, and system health, responding to security incidents and leading root cause analysis to prevent future issues.

Location: On-site in San Diego, CA

Salary Range: $200-230K. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

  • Senior level: 10 years of experience and an MA/MS degree.
  • Substitutions for education:
    • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree
    • 12 years of work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams in adopting DevSecOps practices, fostering a security culture, and aligning all team members toward a unified goal.
  • Deep understanding of key DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53, CMMC, and DISA STIGs, and how to implement these within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) with a focus on securing containers, services, and deployments.
  • Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack, Nagios, and SIEM systems (e.g., ArcSight, SolarWinds).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work with teams but is self-motivated to complete projects independently.
  • Ability to work entirely on-site with minimal accommodation
