Registered Dietitian

knownwell is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team. As part of our interdisciplinary care team, you will play a critical role in empowering patients to achieve their health goals through personalized nutrition counseling and education. This position focuses on providing patient-centered care in collaboration with our clinicians, health coaches, and other healthcare professionals.  


Responsibilities:
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday with flexible scheduling. Patient care will be delivered primarily remotely, but preference will be given to candidates in TX-DFW area to support care integration within our Plano, TX team.  
 
○ Patient Care and Counseling  
  • Familiarity with the Nutrition Care Process and adherence to RD standards of care. 
  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy tailored to patient goals, cultural preferences, and medical needs. 
  • Utilize shared decision making with a patient, honoring the goals a patient has for their health, and partnering with them to help them achieve those goals.   
  • Address patient concerns and questions in an accessible and supportive manner. 
  • Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based, individual and group education on lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and behavior changes to support chronic condition management and metabolic health. 

○ Interdisciplinary Collaboration  
  • Work as a part of an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, APC’s, nurses, medical assistants, health coaches, pharmacists, and other staff. 
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute insights on patient progress and nutrition-related challenges.  

○ Documentation and Compliance  
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, care plans, and recommendations in the EHR system.  
  • Adhere to clinical policies, HIPAA regulations, and standards of care.  
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to process improvements.   

○ Professional Development  
  • Stay current with developments in nutrition science, primary care, and metabolic health.  
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.  

  • Stay current with licensure and appropriate re-certifications 


Requirements:
  • Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) licensed in the state of TX with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as requested by knownwell.  Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.  
  • At least 2 years of clinical or counseling experience, preferably in primary care, metabolic health, or weight management.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • High emotional intelligence, knowing how to make a patient feel at ease – without judgment and without shame.  
  • Willingness to try new technologies that are both patient and provider oriented.  
  • High-speed internet and phone access to support remote practicehours. 


$75,000 - $85,000 a year
