CAD Drafter

Kodiak is hiring a CAD Drafter! This role will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the mechanical design infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between SolidWorks and PLM (Arena). Your expertise in creating and managing CAD drawings, libraries, and design files will directly support manufacturing and supply chain teams, improving efficiency and accuracy. By troubleshooting design system issues and collaborating with external partners, you will enhance workflow automation and customization, driving innovation in Kodiak’s engineering processes.

• Own mechanical team infrastructure for CAD (Solidworks) and PLM  (Arena)
• Create CAD and drawings, such as mechanical library parts or wire harnesses
• Manage releases of design files (CAD and BOM)  to the supply chain and manufacturing teams
• Create and maintain CAD library, standards, templates, and automations
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with SolidWorks and Arena.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to customize PLM (Arena) for Kodiak
• Manage CAD file imports and exports with external partners

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings including GD&T
• Experience with SolidWorks
• Experience with PLM software (Arena preferred)
• GD&T certification based ASME Y14.5
• SolidWorks certifications

The annual salary range for this full-time position in California is $100,000-140,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
