Quality Inspector

You will work on:
  • Inspection of molds, tools, and parts for internal use as well as for sale to customers including generation of reports and documentation of those findings for internal and external distribution
  • Support the use of and continual improvement to the Quality Management System (QMS), and documentation of relevant manufacturing methods, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Documenting non-conformances, dispositions, initiate re-work, and similar quality related duties.
  • Receiving inspection and documentation of incoming materials to ensure they meet the necessary requirements and documentation is ingested correctly into Matrix, our internal MES system.
  • Providing feedback to relevant parties in production to improve part yield and decrease nonconformance rate.
  • Providing feedback to our software team for continual improvement of our internal software tools with the goal of increasing productivity of the company.


Required:

  • Identify and solve problems quickly, and to communicate issues clearly to prevent recurring issues.
  • Have a high sense of urgency, with a strong attention to detail and a resolve to deliver the highest quality.
  • Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM etc.)
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings (Work instructions, CAD)
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge, understanding dimension and tolerancing
  • Experience in a facility with AS9100 or similar QMS standard
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities


Preferred:
  • 3+ years experience in a quality assurance or inspection role in a manufacturing/production setting
  • Experience with 3D surface scanning hardware and software including doing best fits etc.
  • Experience with inspection software such as Verisurf.
  • Experience with MES, ERP, PLM and similar software tools used in manufacturing and company management such as Jira, Teamcenter, NX, Smartsheets, Netsuite, etc.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements and processes


$25 - $45 an hour

Actual base salary will be based on several factors including but not limited to candidates relevant education, experience, knowledge and skill in the core subject matter of the position as well as relevant peripheral qualifications.
