NIWC Manager, Project/Program III

Position Summary

MAG currently has an opening for a Manager, Project/Program III to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic).  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the cybersecurity implementations and operations, advanced technology, and project management services mission.  In this mission, we provide engineering and technical services with operational support located in Charleston SC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • The designee is responsible for managing the contract and all associated tasks.
  • This person shall be the single technical point of contact to the government.
  • Program management is an expected charge for every task; however, the percentage of management is determined by the effort identified in each Task Order.
  • The position is customer-oriented, and the government reserves the right to decrease hours for the individual if the program manager is not being effective.
  • This individual shall be knowledgeable and skilled in financial management processes and budgeting.
  • He/she shall be skilled in writing and validating technical and financial reports.
  • This person shall demonstrate good problem-solving skills and experience overseeing accomplishments of multiple tasks by multiple project leads.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

(U) Experience:

  • Fifteen (15) years of technical experience in support of program/projects, to include: Equipment Support, System Support, and Programmatic Support.
  • Experience shall include at least eight (8) years of Program Management experience, to include: Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.
  • Individual shall have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role.

(U) Education:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business.

(U) Specific Requirements:

  • Specific Experience: Five (5) years as manager of team supporting OT/IT systems (especially those related to life/safety functions) at CONUS and OCONUS installations. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Decision making, communication, collaboration and writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook (Word, Email, Spreadsheets, Schedules, PowerPoint).

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance level

The projected compensation range for this position is $64000 to $96000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
