Job Description

McDonald’s has an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Facilitator based in our Mexico Global Business Services Office.  

As a Learning & Development Facilitator,  you will work to elevate the employee experience, developing current and future leaders at McDonald’s Canada with our world class training programs.  The primary function of this role is to facilitate training classes to motivate, build competencies, and improve each learner’s individual performance, and their contribution to restaurant results.

Purpose: 

  • You will oversee the delivery and management of virtual training classes for McOpCo and Franchisee employees within Canada, ensuring that restaurant employees and leaders are equipped with the right skills and knowledge to succeed. 

Responsibilities:  

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to: 

Facilitates Learning:

  • Oversee and drive delivery of virtual learning programs and courses to achieve developmental objectives for L&D within Canada. 
  • Conduct virtual training that motivates, builds proficiencies, and improves individual's performance and contribution to restaurant results. 
  • Uses facilitation techniques to encourage active participation and collaboration during virtual training sessions. 
  • Adapt sessions in real-time based on participant needs and progress. 
  • Stay updated on best practices, tools and methods in virtual facilitation. 
  • Help to create measurable and relevant learning objectives that align with needs of L&D programming within Canada. 
  • Availability to facilitate days, evenings and weekends are a requirement of this role.

Strategic Partner and Advisor:

  • Work in partnership with our People Solutions L&D Partners and market stakeholders to ensure L&D virtual programs are meeting the training needs of restaurant employees and brand standards. Review class assessments, surveys, and overall virtual program performance. ​ 
  • Work with leader to conduct assessments to identify virtual delivery competencies and gaps, utilizing feedback and performance metrics to refine programs 

Weekly Shifts:

Option 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

              off on Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Option 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday

               off on Monday, Tuesday & Friday

 

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should live in the Mexico City area 
  • Availability to facilitate days, evenings and weekends are a requirement of this role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • 2+ years of adult education/facilitation experience 
  • 2+ years of experience working in a customer service and/or hospitality environment 
  • Strong communication and active listening skills 
  • Proficient in group management techniques and conflict resolution 
  • Ability to use digital tools for virtual facilitation 
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal) ILR Level 4  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree preferred 
  • Operational expertise in QSR, restaurant industry and/or hospitality preferred 
  • Consulting experience a plus 
  • Experience working in an ambiguous, every changing environment 
  • Strong work ethic, business sense, and a self-starter 
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn 
  • Role will be hybrid, 2 days onsite & 3 days work from home
