Mediavine is seeking an experienced Yield Manager to join our Operations team.

Position Title & Overview:

As part of the Operations department the Yield Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Ad Tech industry with deep knowledge in programmatic advertising, publisher monetization and strong analytical skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data trends and campaign specific insights to improve performance for campaigns and revenue partners 
  • Develop actionable insights, making recommendations to internal Sales and Account  teams, which will be communicated externally to clients and agencies
  • Manage inventory, forecasting, pricing, and yield optimization to maximize revenue
  • Contribute to the evolution of overall revenue strategy with A/B testing and analysis to  support testing decisions
  • Establish processes, documentation, and structure to the development of yield management
  • Maintain strong understanding of ad platforms/SSPs/DSPs, data sources, and sales workflow, relying on these various inputs to develop data-driven recommendations for improving yield or  operational efficiencies  
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and communicate internally to ensure success
  • Availability to travel to on-site locations for events/conferences, team retreats, and the annual all hands events approximately 20% of the time

Location:

  • Applicants must be based in the United States

You Have:

  • 5+ years progressive experience in yield management, ad operations or a related role 
  • 3+ years experience in programmatic yield management
  • High level of understanding and experience of programmatic advertising, the Ad Tech industry and its ecosystem
  • Extensive knowledge of  Ad Technologies such as Google Ad Manager and SSPs/ DSPs
  • Relationships with DSPs, agencies and advertisers, preferred
  • Experience with ad inventory management, revenue attribution, pricing analysis and strategy, and programmatic auction techniques
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Excellent Excel, SQL, Google Sheets skills
  • Experience efficiently communicating findings and progress to cross-functional teams, senior leadership and stakeholders
  • A positive attitude and strong self-motivation 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Availability to travel to on-site locations for events/conferences, team retreats, and the annual all hands events approximately 20% of the time

At Mediavine, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.  Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications. The base salary range for this role at the time of posting is $120,000 - $140,000  USD/yr.
