Overview

Job Title: Banquet Captin

Salary/Shift: $22.00

Status: On call

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Banquet Manager and Assitant Banquet Manager in the performance of daily duties.
  • Plan, coordinate, control and organize staff events and maintain excellent service standards.
  • Maintain all departmental equipment and report all property damage or deficiencies to engineering for repair.
  • Facilitate daily stand up meetings for all functions with Service Staff.
  • Coordinate services required by Stewarding and Culinary Departments.
  • Ensures accurate setup of functions.
  • Work closely with clients/meeting planners and Catering Managers to ensure functions flow smoothly and challenge free.
  • Ensure buffet are creative and set on time and per BEOs
  • Provide buffet signage to include dietary facts in advance of events.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the department (back hallway, meeting rooms and pre-function space.)

Qualifications

 

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

 

  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.  Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.

 

 

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

 

  • Coffee maker/urn, toaster, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware and queen-mary cart.
