As a Wound Ostomy Certified Nurse at MultiCare, your main responsibilities include overseeing the care of patients with acute and chronic integumentary system disorders, providing education to patients and families, and consulting with various healthcare team members to implement effective nursing interventions. You'll also interpret policies related to Wound and Ostomy Therapy Nursing while making significant decisions that impact patient care.

To qualify for the Wound Ostomy Certified Nurse position at MultiCare, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or achieve one within five years of hire. A current Washington State RN license, certification in wound care (WCC, CWCN, CWOCN), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are essential. An advanced degree in nursing is preferred, and candidates with 15+ years of service may also be considered.
