Job description:

Start date: April 14th, 2025
We are looking for a R&D Material Engineer to push the boundaries of III-V semiconductor technology. You will be in charge of optimizing the materials from design to characterization. You will also get to tackle stimulating complex challenges in collaboration with innovation experts.
Responsibilities
· Develop and optimize III-V semiconductor active materials from design to characterization for laser diodes
· Face & propose solutions to complex challenges (active region optimization, high-f & high-T operations, aging, integration with Si photonics)
· Support & collaborate with fabrication team on process development for the designed materials
· Participate and support multiple R&D projects to enhance components and architectures
· Collaborate with other teams to address device- and system-level challenges
Requirements
· Ph.D. with 2+ years of industry experience with a focus on the design and characterization of III-V semiconductor active materials for laser diodes
· Strong knowledge on III-V semiconductor materials characterization, design validation and optimizations for optoelectronic components (InP-based is a plus)
· Solid understanding on temperature and aging impact and characterization on material and devices
· Ability to work collaboratively with people across multiple functional areas
· Flexibility, polyvalency and open-mindedness
· Knowledge of Python coding language is a plus
· English professional proficiency
· French is a plus
