POS Install Tech

We are known for our technical expertise and commitment to ensuring smooth and reliable POS operations for our clients.Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced POS Install Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cable terminations, including Cat6 jacks, RJ45, terminating patch panels, and testing terminals. This role involves installing and troubleshooting POS systems and related infrastructure at client locations.Key Responsibilities:• Install and configure POS systems at retail and commercial sites.• Terminate and test Cat6 cables, RJ45 connectors, and patch panels.• Run and organize cables as needed for POS installations.• Perform testing and troubleshooting of POS systems to ensure proper functionality.• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.• Ensure all installation work is completed according to company standards and meets client expectations.• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, tests, and configurations.• Collaborate with the technical team to resolve any issues during installation.• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Requirements:• Proven experience with cable terminations, including Cat6, RJ45, and patch panel work.• Ability to test and troubleshoot network cables and POS terminals.• Strong understanding of networking principles and POS system functionality.• Experience with installing and configuring POS hardware and software.• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and customer service skills.• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (e.g., retail stores, restaurants).Preferred Qualifications:• Previous experience in POS installations or related technical field.• Certifications in low-voltage or network cabling are a plus (e.g., BICSI, CompTIA Network+).• Familiarity with different POS brands and platforms.Benefits:Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
