Configuration Management Specialist

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD scientists, engineers, technical staff, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy new shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms and shipboard systems, and develop computing and networking strategies to support the Warfighter. Noblis MSD employees create strategic solutions to help customers reach new levels of mission support and transform their organizations.

 

Noblis MSD is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist with experience in CMPro and NAVWAR/NIWC CM requirements, documentation, drawings, and parts databases. The specialist will provide full configuration management (CM) support for various afloat and ashore systems for US Navy Ships or US Navy Network Operations Centers, including:

  • Design and document CM processes.
  • Ensure engineering teams adhere to CM processes.
  • Establish configuration identification, functional, allocated, and product baselines.
  • Assist with configuration control, status accounting, and physical configuration audits.
  • Maintain CM procedures and review technical documentation.
  • Evaluate proposed product design changes for system impact.
  • Conduct formal and informal reviews at key points in the development life cycle.
  • Implement directives and schedules to ensure effective system management.
  • Respond to data calls and maintain program of record documentation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR Assoicate's Degree + 3 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma + 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Must be a current US Citizen

Desired Qualifications

  • Active secret clearance desired
  • Navy experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
