We are seeking a talented and motivated Robotics Systems and Controls Engineer to join our team. This engineer will primarily focus on control systems and robotic manipulation, working on both hardware and software aspects of robotics. The ideal candidate will also have experience in machine vision and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement control systems for robotic manipulation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams from product, engineering, services, sales and other key stakeholders to rapidly prototype solutions.
Work in a lean startup environment, starting with problems to be solved and hacking together prototypes for customer validation.
Engage with customers to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
Push the envelope in engineering solutions, with a focus on disruptive and innovative approaches.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on robotics.
Proven track record of developing disruptive robotic solutions in an entrepreneurial setting.
Experience in both hardware and software aspects of robotics.
Knowledge of machine vision and machine learning.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Extra points for attempting to build something revolutionary that failed and learning from the experience.
Experience in healthcare is a bonus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and ROS.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and embedded systems.
Experience with sensor integration and actuator control.
Knowledge of control theory and its application in robotics.
Familiarity with machine vision technologies and algorithms.
Understanding of machine learning techniques and their application in robotics.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex robotic systems.
Knowledge of hardware design and prototyping, including CAD software.
