Job Title: Standalone HR Specialist (Contractor) – Spain
Location: Hybrid, Madrid
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Freelance/Contractor)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable HR Specialist to support our growing team in Spain. This is a role requiring a hands-on HR professional who can manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding, recruitment, payroll, employee relations (ER), compliance, and off-boarding. You will work closely with leadership to ensure a seamless and compliant HR function in Spain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding & Offboarding – Ensure smooth employee integration and exits, including contracts, documentation, and exit interviews.

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition – Manage end-to-end hiring processes, from sourcing and screening to offer management.

  • Payroll & Benefits Administration – Work with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely salary processing, including taxes and social security contributions.

  • Employee Relations & Compliance – Act as a point of contact for HR queries, advising on labor laws, policies, and employee concerns.

  • HR Operations & Administration – Maintain HR records, contracts, policies, and ensure compliance with Spanish labor laws.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner in Spain.

  • Strong understanding of Spanish labor laws, payroll processes, and employment regulations.

  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.

  • Ability to work independently in a standalone role.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Experience working in an international or fast-paced environment is a plus.
