Staff Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Staff Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery; and has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule and feature sets.  The position requires the application of engineering principles to the design of sellable and internal company products.  This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; and performs a variety of complicated tasks.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Component and simple assembly design 
  • Mechanical drafting and technical document authoring 
  • Conduct tests, design manufacturing fixtures, mentor junior colleagues 
  • May lead and direct the work of others on a project basis 
  • May include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products as required to accomplish company goals 
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field 
  • 10+ years of experience working in a similar role 
  • 5+ years of experience in a Senior (or above) mechanical engineer role with demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and contribute to strategic decision-making 
  • Familiarity with a large variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures 

The starting pay range for this position is $112,100 - $134,500 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
