Join us as an R&D Business Process Specialist and you’ll play a critical role in providing operational support to the Sanofi R&D Global Process Owner (GPO) to ensure consistent, efficient and compliant execution of R&D processes worldwide.

Under the leadership of the GPO, you’ll be responsible for mapping processes end-to-end, from initial development through integration into Signavio. The role includes monitoring process performance, change management activities mainly training development, to make process effective, compliant with Industry and Sanofi standards and aligned with R&D strategic goals.

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with GPOs, SMEs and Operational excellence experts to identify and implement improvements in processes, focusing on harmonisation across R&D, efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the R&D process framework.
  • Map process flows and ensure clear roles and responsibilities through a detailed RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix for each process, ensuring accountability and standardization across R&D and countries.
  • Integrate processes into the Signavio platform for centralized process management, transparency, and alignment.
  • Support the design of standardized workflows that incorporate both human and AI elements, as an essential element for creating efficient, adaptable processes.
  • Develop process documentation if needed and/or maintain up to date process documentation according to R&D standards.
  • Define, collect & Analyse performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness, support continuous improvement, and report insights to the RDO.
  • Support the development of training programs to ensure proficiency in new or revised processes & tools.

About you

Experience:

  • Solid understanding of GxP (Good Practice) and regulatory standards applicable to the pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated experience in process improvement and project management.
  • Strong understanding of processes and requirements within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Recognized experience in process mapping and design techniques, particularly with tools such as Signavio or other Business Process Management (BPM) platforms, is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  • Experience in leading training initiatives and providing support to teams during process transitions.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving continuous improvement and achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Digital driven appetite and mindset are a must

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Process Management, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • Expertise in process improvement and lean methodologies, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge in Business Process Management methodologies and/or AI applications in process optimization would be a valuable asset.

Language(s):

  • Strong English skills (verbal and written), ability to exchange fluently in a global environment
