Scentsy is looking for a PR & Influencer Marketing Strategist to act as a critical leader in the global strategy development, amplification, and management of the Scentsy brand through public relations (media), industry relations (trade organizations), and social influencer channels in support of corporate business initiatives, marketing strategy, and regional variations.
What You Would Do:
Public Relations/Industry RelationsDesign the strategic framework and specific plans to optimize coverage and manage reputations across the earned media/Public Relations (PR) landscape that are aligned with Scentsy's broader business and marketing goals and objectives.
This includes coverage of the business, products, licensing relationships, and other areas where coverage will enhance brand awareness and perceptionRefine and document Scentsy's industry relations strategy across key industry organizations (e.
g.
direct selling, home fragrance, etc.
) and ensure Scentsy relationships... coverage, and investments are optimizedRefine and represent the public relations and media response aspects of Scentsy's broader, integrated crisis response efforts Serve as the point person in managing and reacting to press inquiries, ensuring Scentsy's responses are timely and appropriateEnsure applicable executives and Consultants are trained and prepared for proactive and reactive press and media engagementCoordinate PR efforts with Scentsy's community relations and corporate social responsibility efforts (Human Resources) and with government relations efforts (Legal) Leverage cross-media monitoring tools and software to manage media lists and contacts, proactively identify strategic opportunities for Scentsy, and reactively respond to crisis situations Influencer MarketingAligned with Scentsy's broader business and marketing goals and objectives, design the strategic framework and specific plans to appropriately implement the use of Social Media influencers to enhance and increase Scentsy's brand awareness and perceptionBuild on learnings from Scentsy's initial tests in Influencer Marketing and define how this channel can and should be grown, over time, to best meet Scentsy's goals and objectivesManage the influencer selection process and ensure that selected Scentsy influencers are a positive representation of the Scentsy brand, mission, and valuesManage influencer marketing agreements, deliverables, and fulfillment of agreed upon terms amongst Scentsy Legal, influencers and any agencies as needed Applicable to Both ChannelsManage and implement the day-to-day PR, industry relations, and social influencer activities required to meet our stated goals and objectives for these respective channelsDefine the appropriate level of insourcing/outsourcing (agency or contractor support) and investment levels required to accomplish Scentsy's goals and objectives Ensure that all PR and Social Influencer plans and activities have measurable business results and ROI and improve the effectiveness of those channels efforts over timeCollaborate with key stakeholders within Marketing and across the organization to define and implement PR and Influencer Marketing strategies and tactics in support of global and targeted campaigns and initiatives Assist the Director of Marketing and Executives with determining the approach and investments to support Scentsy's PR, Industry Relations and/or Social Influencer efforts across all international marketsPerform all other assigned tasks and requirements as neededYou Should Have:
4 years of experience in Public Relations strategy and execution (including demonstrated experience managing budgets and/or agency relationships)2 years of influencer marketing experienceBachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, PR or related field Master's degree preferredPortfolio required Things You Should Know & Be Able to Do:
Strong creativity in promotional ideation Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential Experience defining and delivering a PR scorecard to demonstrate impact and Return on Investment (ROI) Proven track record in crisis communications and reputation managementStrong knowledge of current brand building and engagement techniques Strong understanding of the national and local media, industry relations, and winning strategies for coverage Demonstrated experience managing influencers and bloggers, contractors, external resources and agency partners Detailed understanding of the PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned) model to illustrate impact and ROI Collaborative creative thinker and problem solver Ability to work or lead collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to seamlessly span from strategy to execution across a wide variety of projects and programs.
