Lead Assembly Technician

The Lead Assembly Technician for Accessories will be responsible for leading a team of assembly technicians, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Lead acts as a point of contact for the assembly team and partners with management to ensure quality products are produced. This position is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm and on-site in Lincoln, RI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of assembly technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance; foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Identify training needs and provide necessary training to team members.
  • Promotes, complies, actively participates, and enforces the importance of quality standards.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the production/assembly of medical equipment.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Assembly Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Competencies:

  • Mathematical skills needed to count products; reading and comprehension skills.
  • Good eye to hand coordination and spatial relationship to review placement of parts.
  • Ability to work in a repetitive manner.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
  • Ability to follow instructions both written and verbal; attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves repetitive motions throughout the day. This position regularly requires standing, sitting, walking, reaching, and bending throughout the day depending on the units being assembled.  Regularly lifts and moves up to 40 pounds.  Protective suits, masks, eye and ear wear are required for certain tasks.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
